This Privacy Policy explains how Plug Akademi LLC (“Plug Seller,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Plug Seller website, browser extension, and applications (the “Service”). It is designed to comply with U.S. law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, “CCPA,” as amended) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, provided through our authentication provider when you create an account.
- Subscription & billing data — handled by Stripe (web), Apple (iOS), and Google Play (Android). We do not store full card numbers.
- Marketplace data — when you connect or query Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, we process product, listing, and pricing data and, where you authorize it, your own inventory, order, and seller-account data, solely to provide the Service to you. See our Data Protection Policy.
- Phone number — if you provide it and opt in, to send SMS alerts and updates (see our SMS Policy).
- Device, login & usage data — device type and model, OS, app/extension version, device and installation identifiers, IP address, approximate location from IP, login times and locations, and basic analytics — used to operate and secure the Service, detect suspicious activity, and enforce plan-based device limits.
Browser extension
Our Chrome browser extension runs only on Amazon, Walmart, and eBay product pages. On those pages it reads the product information already visible on the page you are viewing — such as the product identifier (ASIN, UPC, or item ID), title, and price — and sends those identifiers to our servers to return profit metrics, fees, sales estimates, and offers. It does not read, collect, or transmit data from any other website.
To sign in from the extension, you may enter your email and password in the panel; these are sent directly to our authentication provider (Google Firebase) over an encrypted connection to obtain a login token, and are not otherwise stored by the extension. The extension stores your login token, a device identifier, and your saved preferences locally in your browser.
