This policy describes how Plug Akademi LLC (“Plug Seller”) sends email and SMS, in line with the U.S. TCPA and CAN-SPAM Act, U.S. carrier A2P 10DLC requirements, and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). SMS is sent through GoHighLevel.
Marketing emails identify us, include our mailing address (8465 Keystone Crossing, Suite 115, Indianapolis, IN 46240), and include a working unsubscribe link, which we honor promptly. Service emails (billing, security, policy updates) are not marketing.
SMS consent (opt-in)
We send SMS only to users who expressly opt in. At opt-in we show a clear, unchecked consent with wording substantially as follows:
“By providing your phone number and checking this box, you agree to receive recurring informational and marketing text messages from Plug Akademi at the number provided, including messages sent by automated means. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our SMS Policy and Privacy Policy.”
We keep a record of each consent (timestamp, IP, phone number, source).
Message types
- Transactional/security: account alerts, suspicious-login and device-limit notices, billing notices.
- Informational/marketing: product updates, training/webinar reminders, and offers — only to those who opted in.
Opt-out & help
Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to stop; reply HELP for help. We honor opt-outs promptly. Message and data rates may apply; frequency varies.
No third-party marketing
We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing. We share it with our messaging provider (GoHighLevel) only to deliver our messages.
User obligations
Users and affiliates may not use the Service or our brand to send spam or messages that violate TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CASL, or carrier rules.
