How does Plug Friends work?
Plug Friends is for members on a paid plan. You get an invite link. When a friend signs up with it and pays for Plug Seller, part of what they pay comes off your bill.
What you get
- 20% of every payment your friend makes comes off your next bill, for as long as they keep paying.
- It works with every plan, yours and theirs. A friend on Starter takes 20% of their Starter payment off your bill, and a friend on Pro takes 20% of their Pro payment.
- A friend on a yearly plan counts one twelfth of their payment each month, for the 12 months it covers.
- If you're on a yearly plan yourself, the credit adds up until your yearly bill.
- It starts with your friend's first payment. The free trial counts nothing, since nothing is paid.
Your bill never goes below $0
Five friends paying the full price of your plan cover your whole bill. When your friends cover it, your link shows Full and stops taking new friends. It opens again if a friend stops paying.
If your friends' credit is more than your bill, the extra waits for your next bill. Credit that still doesn't fit about six weeks later is dropped.
When the money comes off
The credit comes off your next invoice by itself. Settings > Plan & Billing shows it in your Next payment amount, and Settings > Plug Friends shows Taken off so far.
We email you when a friend's first payment lands, with what comes off and what your next bill is now. We also email you if a friend's plan stops.
What your friend gets
A friend who picks the monthly Pro plan gets 20% off their first month (what your friend sees).
