How do I use the Profit Calculator?
The Profit Calculator & Real Share panel works out your profit on a product.
What you enter
- Cost Price is what you pay per unit. Plug Seller remembers it for that product in this browser.
- Sale Price starts at the Buy Box price. Type another price to try it out.
- Fulfilment Type is FBA or FBM.
- Storage (Months) is for FBA only. It's how long you expect the stock to sit at Amazon, and it starts at 1 month.
- Shipping to buyer is for FBM only. Check shipping price gets a live rate, or you can type your own.
What you get
| Figure | How it's worked out |
|---|---|
| Profit | The sale price minus total fees and your cost. |
| ROI | Profit divided by your cost. |
| Maximum Cost | The most you can pay and still meet your targets (how it's worked out). |
| Total Fees | Click it to see each fee: referral, FBA, closing, storage, prep and misc. |
| Profit Margin | Profit divided by the sale price. |
| Breakeven Sale Price | The sale price at which your profit is $0. |
| Estimated Amz. Payout | The sale price minus Total Fees, before your cost. |
Profit, Maximum Cost and Estimated Amz. Payout also open a breakdown when you click them.
Until you enter a cost, Profit equals the payout and ROI shows ∞%.
The FBA / FBM switch at the top of Quick Info changes the fees for the whole page at once.
